Junior’s Law” Orders Bodega And Small Businesses to Keep Minors Safe!!

“Junior’s Law” Orders Bodega And Small Businesses to Keep Minors Safe Following the horrific murder of 15-year-old Bronx teen, Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz outside a bodega in Belmont, two lawmakers are pushing for legislation that requires small business to protect young children in the community from gangs and other dangers. CBS News reported that, State Senator Luis Sepulveda and Assemblyman Victor Pichardo announced the “Safe Havens for Endangered Children” law, which has been nicknamed “Junior’s Law.” The proposed law would require small businesses, such as the Bodega to provide refuge and call police if a young person who was in danger were to go to them for help. “These measures will help our communities become safer,” said Sepulveda, while standing in front of a picture of Junior completed just days after he was killed. “While we know that a lot more needs to be done to prevent gang violence and bullying in our communities, a combination of these efforts is a step in accomplishing this goal and possibly saving the life of a young resident or child in our community.” The legislation aims to prevent another horrific incident like Junior’s. Surveillance footage is believed to have shown the bodega owner turn Junior away, as he was being chased by multiple men, who consequently stabbed him multiple times  HOME NEWS MUSIC FASHION LIFESTYLE SHOWS VIDEOS EXCLUSIVE Source :The Hollywood Unlocked.
